Connecting pipes with pressfitting systems
After the instruction, the trainee can operate the pressing machine correctly and in compliance with the UVV and independently establish press connections for various pipe systems.
After the instruction
- if the trainee knows the technical terms, they can also be given again.
- the trainee knows the different press jaw contours and knows which contour he has to use for the respective fitting.
- the trainee knows the handling of the pressing machine and the press jaws, in particular also the safety regulations to be observed and can also give them again.
- the trainee can name the mistakes that may occur and explain how to avoid them.
- the trainee will know the special features of the respective fittings for gas, solar, heating and sanitary and will be able to select them correctly depending on the application and pipe material.
After the instruction, the trainee can manufacture pipe connection with the pressing machine skillfully and professionally.
The trainee will carry out the work carefully and properly, know the special accident prevention regulations for this work and also recognize that it is right to observe them, handle the tool and the material with care and use it sparingly.
The training goal is achieved if the trainee can operate the pressing machine correctly in compliance with the UVV, change the press jaws correctly, create press connections carefully and professionally correctly. Above all, he must be able to handle the pressing machine correctly and select the right fittings and press jaws for the respective pipe material to be processed. The pipes must be cleanly processed and connected and the pressing must be carried out properly.
The instruction takes place in the 10th month of the 1st year of training. From the vocational school and from previous training courses, he knows the various pipe materials and knows where they are used. The trainee already knows the cutting and deburration of pipes. He has already been able to practice and deepen these techniques several times during work on construction sites.
This training is part of the training phase according to the training framework plan for vocational training as a plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning technology, section 1 basic vocational training. No. 9 § 4 para. 1 no. 9
This instruction was preceded by an instruction on joining techniques, in particular the cutting and deburration of pipes, sheets and other workpieces and the UVV to be observed.
This instruction is followed by instruction on the leakage control of pipelines, the test equipment and the test methods. The trainee learns how to check ready-assembled pipelines and, above all, the connections properly and according to certain specifications for tightness and also logs this test.
The instruction takes place in the workshop of the training company, as the required training means (tools and machines) and also a suitable place in the form of a large workbench is available here. The training could also take place on the construction site, but I have chosen the factory site because the boundary conditions are better here and we are not exposed to the weather or exposure to dust and noise. I can explain everything to the trainee here in peace and he can then practice undisturbed in the workshop.
The instruction will take place on Tuesday at 8.00 a.m., as the trainee is the most mentally efficient and I will thus achieve a learning success with him.
The instruction is carried out in the four-step methods.
Time required for levels 1-3 15 -17 minutes
For the first exercise, about 15 minutes are scheduled.
The instruction is carried out as individual instruction for the trainee Florian. This allows me to respond to his personal learning speed, take into account his previous knowledge, clarify his questions, support him where he is still a bit weak, possibly close existing gaps in his level of knowledge. In particular, however, I can quickly correct mistakes in the individual instruction in the 4th stage, his personal practice phase.
The instruction is carried out in the 4-step method.
1st Level Preparation
The trainer prepares for the instruction by procuring training equipment (fittings, fittings, pressing machine, etc.pp.), preparing the place of learning (workshop especially workbench), determining the time for instruction and clearly stating the objective of the instruction (see point 2). The trainee is then informed about this.
The trainer must deal intensively with the topic himself beforehand so that he can answer all the questions asked by the trainee and so that he can explain the workflow fluently and correctly.
The place for the instruction is now being prepared. This means that all necessary work equipment is provided and checked for its function. In addition, the undisturbedness is ensured, so that a smooth and trouble-free process is ensured.
Before the instruction, a friendly welcome of the trainee by the instructor is successful. Any inhibitions in the trainee are reduced in a small conversation and thus the basis for a relationship of trust is created.
The instructor now determines the previous knowledge from previous instructions and repeats them or refreshes them again.
The trainer now explains the goal of today's training and informs the trainee about safety regulations, careful handling of the pressing machine and the press jaws.
The trainer now explains to the trainee his task in the instruction.
The motivation of the trainee takes place through the independent execution of the skill learned today in the further professional life after the instruction and a corresponding practice phase. Furthermore, the trainer advises the trainees that the skills and knowledge that are imparted during this instruction are also of great importance for the later final examination.
